Plays well with others

People are surprised when I say that the photography field is a bit of a small world. Workshops, Facebook, chat forums, conventions and local get togethers definitely help to create a community among those that are working in the same direction, nourishing their creative art and photography business. It’s exciting to meet more people in the industry and become inspired by their unique look or swap trade secrets. I myself have a list of blogs that I follow to keep up with my fellow friends in the industry as they push themselves more each week and keep me in awe of their work. Nothing like some motivation!

Just yesterday I had dinner with a group of fun and very talented Middle Georgia photographers. It was so fun to laugh, swap stories and chat up the latest workshop over a de-lish Asian inspired salad. Sadly I don’t have a photo of all of us so I included one of Steph and I having fun with two fantastic mirrors at one of my recent weddings.

Cheryl + Rod: Engagement in Big Canoe, GA

Nestled in the valley of Sharp Mountain, Cheryl and Rod stole kisses in between rows of itty bitty, baby grapes of the vineyard’s future Cabernets’ and Pinot Noirs.’ Quick with a laugh and Cheryl’s mega watt smile, these two were at such a wonderful ease with each other and all those around them. Having had a wonderful seven years together they have had time to carve out a space for each other in their lives and in their arms. When it came time for an engagement shoot there was no posing needed, they just naturally fit into each other’s arms and warmest embrace.

C&R, I can believe it will only be three more weeks before your loved ones fly in from all over to join and stand with you as you both say ‘I do.’ I had a great time this Sunday and despite a slow start for your morning, luck was on your side that afternoon because you certainly held off the rain the entire time.

Can’t wait to see you two soon!

Victoria + Billy: Wedding in Monroe, GA

Cool, calm and collected is how I found Victoria that Saturday as she was in the midst of preparing for her big day. Changes in the weather from a balmy blue to a menacing gray did not phase her as she calmly moved to plan B. She was getting married that day to Billy and rain or shine, nothing else mattered than saying ‘I Do.’

Victoria, Billy and Taylor I wish you all the absolute best and thank you for allowing me to spend your special day with you.

Custom designed wedding albums

Buttery smooth to the touch this gorgeous, leather wedding album just came in the mail for Jessica and Chad’s April wedding. I become giddy with excitement as if I were keeping it for myself when I get new albums in the mail. I am always amazed and in awe at the incredible quality of KISS albums and I’m so proud to share that with my clients. The pages stretch across each spread leaving no room for a middle gutter and is coated with an incredible textured sheen for protection.

Albums are such an incredible way to bring all the months of wedding planning, details and special moments of that day into a storybook album. I definitely recommend having an album designed for your wedding as it a symbol of your journey.
