I’m jumping in!

Well I’m taking the plunge, not dipping my toes, but jumping right into this public blogging thingie we have going on. I’m still adjusting to the fast pace that Photographic Expressions has taken off in but I’m happy, so I’m jumping in, climbing on, whichever….I’m here!

Hopefully I can keep this blog updated with my trips, adventures, and wonderful fun that comes my way. I intend to add my old posts to this blog so that they will forever be here and not lost in cyber space. It may look like I’ve had a busy weekend but I couldn’t leave my former memories out there so please overlook this repeat.

Ok, back to uploading and getting everything together.

Back soon!

All About … Family

Remember when your days old, little girl reached up for the first time and grasped your pinkie with all her might? Recall back when your weeks old, little boy gave you his first toothy grin? Does the feel of a baby’s soft and fuzzy skin come back to you as you bathe your child before bedtime?

It’s my passion to document those fleeting moments. Lifestyle portraiture is a wonderful adventure that takes me to a family’s home and allows me to document a typical day in the life of the family. What is it about your child that you don’t want to forget at that moment in time? Is she infatuated with tea time and playing dress up? Is he in love with firetrucks and puts out ‘fires’ around the house? Are they just days old and you love the weight of them against your chest as they sleep?

I want to capture the interaction between your child and the whole family, cat or dog included. It’s the bond, the love, the adoration that I look to capture for you to have forever.

So what is your child doing today that you want to capture forever?

All About…Me

I fall in love, a lot. I grew up wanting to be a zoologist. I was head over heels in love with the idea of saving orangutans, becoming the next Jane Goodall and saving the planet. Then I started flirting with journalism and began walking this new path all the way to college. I loved seeing my name in the byline of the latest publication I wrote for, that is, until I found something I couldn’t stop dreaming of until it became a reality: Photography!

I graduated Wesleyan College, got married, started my business and have since filled the nagging ache I felt in my heart. I fell in love with Love.
The joy and fullfillment I receive in documenting the most special moments on a wedding day compares to nothing else. I am passionate about my art and photography. If you’d like to step in front of my camera and experience the percolation effects of my love, shoot me an email. I’d be happy to hear from you.

I love high heels.
I crave black olives, on everything!
I laugh at my husband’s stories.
I cry at great chic flicks.
I adore my dachshund puppies, Lucy and Levi.
I’m scared of roller coasters.
I like John Travolta. Hmm, change that to love.
I need my phone.
I dream of having a personal chef.

***Disclaimer: Photography is my passion and I work as such. I do have a full time job in real estate so I am only able to photograph on weekends.

January 11, 2010 - 9:11 pm Heather Dinovo - I am getting married in Sept of 2010 and wanted some additional info from you. Your work is beautiful and I think you have the "look" I am looking for in terms of my photography for the wedding and reception. Are you located in the Atlanta area? I saw some of your photos on a local florist's website. Thanks! Heather

All About … I Do

Let me know what your day has in store. Your Wedding is all about…Style. Love. Fun…YOU.

Tell me your story. I soak up all the details from your wedding as if it was mine. Tell me how you cried/screamed/freaked when he proposed. I fall a bit in love at hearing the proposal plans and how you almost found out early. Tell me the secret way that you plan to personalize your wedding. I laugh at the secret antics that you plan to Wow the guests. Tell me about the big celebration afterward. I become giddy at the party plans that are planned for the reception.

Your wedding is a reflection of your unique style and personality. Your wedding photography coverage should be the same, customized to fit exactly what you want to remember about that day.

We don’t offer basic packages, not every bride or wedding is the same because how can ‘basic’ fit your needs?
We assist you as you create your Custom Collection for your wedding.

Key elements to reflect the true style of your wedding:

~~Engagement Session: First word, FUN! I love engagement shoots. I strongly recommend having an engagement shoot. Just you, me and your sweetie. Forget how many pictures you have of the two of you on Facebook or MySpace, these are the photos that capture you as the engaged couple, the I’m about to pledge to live the rest of my life with you pictures. When thinking of where to have your engagement pictures, look at your sweetie. Where do you two love to go all the time that they should store your coffee cup and a spare toothbrush? What best reflects you as a couple? Was it the college where you met, the beach that you proposed on or the sleepy little town that you love to get away together? Where ever it is, it needs to be all about you. $50 per hour

~~Bridal Session: This is not your mother’s antibellum photoshoot. Oh, no. This is a fashion shoot showcasing just how amazing you look! Imagine with me now; you, your awesome dress, your hair and makeup done to the nines, killer shoes, at a location of your desire, rocking to your inner ‘I’m hot’ theme song. Now how much fun is that!? $50 per hour

~~Rehearsal and/or R Dinner Coverage: One of the most magical parts of your wedding celebration that is seldom documented. Allow that giddy excitement, wacky toasts and fun memories to forever be captured. $50 per hour

~~Wedding Coverage: How many hours is your celebration? Don’t forget that you need to calculate at least two hours prior to your ceremony so we can capture you (the bride and groom) getting ready, the nervous laughter prior to the ceremony, the fabulous ‘barely still single’ you. Make sure you have your reception covered because I don’t want to miss out on your grand exit! $75 per hour, this includes a second shooter

~~KISS Album: That’s right, kiss, fitting isn’t it? This hand-crafted album has seen love and attention from the design all the way to the assembly. It is 100% leather (smooth like butter) and are beautiful additions to showcase your wedding images. Sturdy and thick pages with a flush print, these albums come in your choice of 10×10 and 12×12. Don’t forget the parent albums at an adorable size of 8×8. Your choice from seven different leather colors. Parent albums starting at $150 Wedding albums starting at $375 for 10×10 with 10 pages.
